Matison W. McCool is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico Center on Alcohol, Substance use, And Addictions (CASAA). He is currently supported by a career development award from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (K23AA031729). Broadly, his research interests include using wearable technologies to better understand the relationship between stress, self-regulation, and the surrounding environment on substance and alcohol use outcomes. His research aims to help create interventions for substance use that are culturally and individually adaptable to people in the moments they need them.
